Today I ate a toasted avocado, ham and cheese sandwich on rye sourdough with pieces of tomato on the side followed by three pieces of canteloupe for lunch. Not bad for only having two teeth!
I think I'm about to have three, though. I know I've been saying that for a while, but Mum assures me that she can see the white through my top gum now, so the next one can't be far away. I'm still shoving anything I can get my hands onto into my mouth. But, unfortunately, pieces of paper and wool don't do much for my gum pain. I am getting better at scooping stuff out of my mouth once I've rolled it around for a while and established that I don't really want to swallow it. It's certainly better than having Mum poke her finger all around my mouth.
I love being able to stand with no hands and examine a toy, or hold my drink. I can also walk pretty well if someone holds my hands. Oskar has been helping me walk, which is fun. He helps me stand by holding my hands and walks backwards down the hall so I can walk forwards. I'm getting better at staying on my feet. When he first did it I kept stumbling while he kept walking, so I ended up on my knees and then on my tummy. But yesterday we made it down to his bedroom before I fell forwards, so that was good! We both giggle as we walk - it's fun.
