So much has happened over the last month. I'm now a big two-year-old. I get to prance around the playground and point to kids who are littler than me and say, 'baby!' My birthday wasn't very memorable because it came a couple of days after we all had gastro - we were all pretty grumpy and tired. But I love the prezzies I got, especially babbydoll and baby, and I REALLY love my bathers ('mine babers!').

I'm glad I have bathers because I've started swimming lessons at the local pool. I tell anyone who asks, 'swim underwater,' except I don't really. I try to avoid getting my face wet, although I couldn't avoid it when I jumped off the mat and leapt trustingly towards Mummy. She made a real meal of catching me so I didn't do it the next week. I got down on all fours and crawled to the edge before I got pushed and pulled off the edge. At least I made some pretty disagreeable noises while I had everyone's attention. I love to kick my legs and to float on my back while the mummies sing, 'twinkle, twinkle little star', or,'twinkle star' as I call it. I try to sing bits of it while I'm pottering about at home and am pretty happy with my interpretation of the song.

I'm learning so many words to say. I love to see the surprise on Mum's face when I say something I haven't said before. A few weeks ago it was, 'where's my pink balloon?', then it was, 'nuggle up', with Bear-bear in bed, then, 'no, yuk!' when faced with Daddy's home-made pasta, and today, 'no, stay here,' when Mum asked if I wanted to get out of the sandpit. I've also been singing a couple of little ditties: I dance around waving my arms and singing, 'I love you, I love you, I love you...' and my latest, 'lickey in the 'ky, lickey in the 'ky,' which is lots of fun.

The best thing to happen over the last few weeks is that I now get to spend one day a week at 'melia's house. Bee plays with us, gets my food and puts me to bed and I really like her. I know I go there when Oskar goes to kinder, so whenever I hear talk of kinder I ask, 'go Claire's house? where's 'melia? where's Bee? where's Claire?' I have such fun there that I can't wait to go back as soon as possible after I've left.
